Social Capital at the University of British Columbia Discussion Paper

The paper recommended and informed a social planning process to balance the physical growth of UBC with community cohesion and values.  It notes that building relationships that contribute to social capital involves: recognizing and respecting one another as neighbours; identifying and interacting around common interests; and tolerating diversity and differences.  This project was undertaken in collaboration with Don Cameron and Associates.  Information on planning initiatives at UBC Vancouver can be found here.
